Cocoa anyone? Repeat Impressions POTW

Happy Monday Y'all!

Christmas is just around the corner and I have been scurrying around getting things done.  I managed to work on some sweet treats, but I haven't even started buying gifts yet!  Egads!

It is my turn to share a Project of the Week with you for Repeat Impressions, on The House that Stamps Built blog.

One of my sweet treats to give this year is a fun Cocoa Packet Slider.

Repeat Impression stamps used for this project are:
Penguin Tree #8802-N and Coolest Christmas #8803-F

Aren't they cute?  I used Swiss Miss Cocoa packets and these are the dimensions I used (you may need to adjust to fit your cocoa packets).  I started with a piece of print cardstock cut to 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 and scored it (with 7 3/4 side at the top) at 3 5/8" and 7 1/4".  Fold on score lines and apply strong adhesive on the 1/2" tab and the bottom.  Fold over to make a pocket.  Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock into a 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece and adhere to front of slider.  For the crimped bottom edge, you can use either a crimper or a scoring board.  I used a scoring board and scored every 1/8".  This will give a finished edge to the bottom of the packet.

Next, in the center top of the packet, you will punch holes for your ribbon to go through.  I used a 1/8" hole, but you may need to adjust depending on the width of your ribbon.
Next, you will wrap the ribbon around the cocoa packet and slide it into the sleeve.  When the packet it completely inside the sleeve, tie off with a bow.

Now for the fun part!  I stamped the Repeat Impressions Penguin Tree #8802-N in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with markers.  I added some Tombow Mono Multi to the star and covered it with bright yellow glitter.  I added some White Pearl Liquid Pearls to the fluff on the hats.  Next I stamped the Repeat Impressions Coolest Christmas #8803-F sentiment with black ink onto a white scrap and cut out with an oval die.

To finish off, layer your image panel and sentiment panel with coordinating paper and adhere to packet.  I used foam adhesive to adhere the image panel and created a tag with the sentiment and tied it on with some hemp cord.

I wish you all the Merriest Christmas and the Happiest New Year!
