Tombow hops with Michele Kovack

Hi there and happy, happy Monday everyone!

Today the Tombow Design Team is hopping with Michele Kovack.  You should have arrived at my blog from Debbie Fisher's awesome blog, but if you didn't be sure to head back to the Tombow blog and start from the beginning.

The card I am sharing today is the first in a series of star themed cards.  Stars seem to be all the rage right now and I love the idea of using stars because they can be used for anyone and just about any occasion.

This card could easily be used for a birthday card for either a man, woman or child.

I started this card by picking the print papers as I knew I wanted to use something that was versatile and not to masculine, feminine or childish.

I used some Tombow Xtreme Glue Tape to adhere each layer of paper to the next.  I started with Bazzill Turquoise card base and then added a layer of Memory Box Distressed Dot and finally a  white swirl embossed panel.  The Tombow Xtreme is perfect for adhering textured cardstock (like the embossed panel) with no worries of anything coming apart.  Next I added the strip print/turquoise layers to the embossed panel.  I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment in black ink onto a piece of the yellow dot paper and added that to a turquoise layer.  I added it to the card using Tombow Foam Tabs.  The star was cut with the large star die from Hero Arts and then embossed with Iridescent embossing powder.  I popped that up with Tombow Foam Tabs as well.

Be sure to stop by each of the blogs along the way and leave a comment for a chance to win the Tombow prize shown below.

Here is this week’s Line-up:
Melissa Cash
Jennie Garica

We will announce our winner on Wednesday May 7th at 3:30 P.M. EST!

See you soon with the next card in my Star series.

I love all your papers and your star is beautiful. Yes, I love the stars craze. Tombow has some great products. The one I've been seeing but haven't tried yet is the Xtreme Adhesive. That just sounds super sticky!!

The more creative we are with our materials, the harder it is to find the right adhesive. Glad Tombow has some products to help us out! Dry embossed papers are often difficult to adhere to the other layers. TFS!
