Repeat Impressions POTW-Stamping on Print Paper

Hi there!  This week it is my turn to share a Project of the Week with you on The House That Stamps Built blog so today I am sharing:

  Stamping on Print Paper

I love this technique for when I am in a hurry as it really moves the process along, especially when you are in a time crunch.

As always, start by gathering some supplies.  I decided to use images from the Contain Yourself and Bottom's Up collections so I gathered my stamps and supplies that I thought I might need/use.

I pulled my stamps, cardstock, ink, embellies and other items and got busy :)

I stamped the Happy Frog #9724-G in black ink onto some green/white dot paper and the Lemon #9611-H onto some yellow tone on tone dot paper and worked on my layouts for my cards.

Here is my frog card, I think he is adorable.  I added some shading with a Copic marker in the areas where Wendy (RI Illustrator) added some shadows on the image.  This is great because you know right where to add your shading making it easy peasy.  I fussy cut the frog and popped him up using foam tape onto the right side of an oval panel that I had stamped the Un-frog-gettable #9704-F sentiment on.  Next was all about assembly.  I added a few little die cut hearts for a finishing touch on this one.

For this card, I stamped the Lemon with black ink onto the print paper and fussy cut.  I added some shading just as I had on the frog card following Wendy's guidelines making this one just as easy as the first.  I added some die cut leaves out of the scrap from the frog card (great way to recycle) and stamped the When Life #9604-F onto another scrap of cardstock and die cut into an oval shape.  I added some color to the center of the oval with a Copic marker.

I would love to see what you do with stamping on print paper, come back here and leave a link in the comments so that I can check it out.

Melissa, Just popping by to say how much I love your project. The design on both of these cards is really great. The texture you created really supports your images. Happy Day! Kathy
