I've been stamping for about 5 years now. Became an SU demonstrator to get my "stuff" cheaper. I've been having workshops with my 3 daughters (Sara Williams (your blog designer), Susan Liles (susiestampalot), and Nancy Cook (not on internet, but still VERY TALENTED), and some close friends. I am going to be having my first workshop for one of my new friends in March -- I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. I love your page and all the designs you've done on your cards. If you have any helpful tips, I'D LOVE TO HAVE THEM!! Congrats on 2500 and put me among them!!

I've started scrapbooking when I made a trip to Uganda and I wanted my album to be special. I went to a craft store, discovered scrapbooking and immediately knew this was what I wanted. Now I'm really addicted!
A few years later I followed a basic stamping course in that same store and since then I'm also making stamped cards.

For me its my escape, I've only started stamping a couple of months but there is something about stamping an image and turning into something that you can say WOW I did that? Then think who would get the biggest smile when you present them what you created.

Well I've been a lifelong sewer, then a quilter and dollmaker. What stamping offers me that those don't is speed. You get almost instant gratification and it doesn't take months to complete even the most complicated paper project. It's a nice change for me.

I love to make cards. And I really love to see my vacation pictures in a scrapbook, rathern than just a plain photo album!

Stamping, scrapping, sewing, quilting ... these are all things I do for myself to release all of the creativeness I have inside of me. I have always had to keep my hands busy - just can't sit and watch tv without *doing* something. Stamping also takes me back to coloring 101 in Kindergarten! Congrats on all your hits - I will visit your blog more often in search of inspiration.

stamping and scrapping is something that I can do without my eyes that do not work so well and I love to stamp and scrap because of the ideas I get during at odd times that I just have to get it down or I will forget it. I cann add both stamping/scrapping together and they look great so I always add both both together if i can.

Hmm, good question!

I love to create and have always been a mixed-media collage artist.

Over the years though, I've really grown to love the elegant simplicity of card making; I think it's the smaller 'canvas' that I find so appealing. Not to mention all the yummy embellies!!

Thanks for the chance to win your uber-kewl blog candy offering!

Hi there. I've always enjoyed making things. As a child I loved colouring in and glueing, and I guess this is an extension of that. I love to use my hands, and take a lot of pleasure in choosing colours. Then, there's the pleasure it gives to the recipient too. It's all so satisfying, really.

I've been stamping and making cards for just about a year now! And the only reason I do that is to preserve my sanity in this mad world. When I escape into my world of stamping, coloring and assembling the cards, its like therapy.
And imagining the joy that someone gets when they receive my card..is the best gift of all..

Thank you for such a wonderful candy!

I love to stamp because for me it lets me be creative and makes other people happy when family and friends receive my cards or crafts.

It makes me happy when I am sad or mad. It makes me calm. I love being creative and stamping allows me to do that but also see how other people can be creative with the same stamp that I have.

Anonymous said...

Why do I love to stamp? hmmmmmmm it is my sanity. When things get to be more than I can handle, I go to my stamping room, close the door, and create. They say creativity is good for the soul? Well its good for my peace of mind too. Now if only I could figure out HOW to put more hours in a day so I could stamp even more. Hmmmmmmm gotta work on that.

I started stamping almost two years ago and love it because it allows me to feel creative. I grew up not feeling very artistic (hated art in school because of being insecure), and making cards lets me play with color and shape and paper and ink and bling while having a finished product to send to friends and family. And they give me lots of positive feedback while they get mail. Thanks for the chance to win.

Hi I love your blog and what a great new banner. I began scrapbooking about 10 years ago cause it was soo much fun and I wanted to preserve my memories for future generations. I discovered stamping a few years back but have gotten deeper and deeper in it more recently. I just love crafts period, but my all time favorite is stamping/scrapbooking. :)

thanks for the contest, can't wait to check out the rest of your creations.

Melissa, I love your new blog look!! The pink and black is perfect! Looks like you are now on your way to 3000 hits!!! Woohoo! Way to go.
Let's see...what do I love about stamping/scrapping...
I love creating things for other people the most. The looks on my boys faces when they see pages scrapped of them and on other's faces when they receive something I made is gratifying and makes me want to do it all the more.

I have always been creative from sewing, needlepoint, painting gardening-you name it. Stamping is easy as you can grab a few things and just make something on the spot with no prep. And you have a piece of happy in your hand.

I love card making as it lets me explore my creative side and relax. I love being able to make something for a friend that shows my love and appreciation for that person. Each project is special and created for someone specific in mind.
Congrats on the hits and thanks for the chance to win.

I started off scrapbooking, but who has the time? You have to plan and organize and it takes me a long time to finish a spread.

With staming, I can stamp today, color tomorrow, and finish a card when I have the time! My kind of project!

Kathy K said...

Wow! Great candy! Thanks for offering it. For me, stamping is a kind of release. So much of what we do in the day to day grind is the opposite of creative that sometimes it's nice to work that other half of our brains! Plus, for me, it's a huge stress-reliever!

Nettie said...

Love stamping because it is a major stress buster for me. Takes my mind off work and medical issues.
