Mine grows with floss and a crochet hook! I have been teaching myself to make these little flowers that are all the rage now in cardmaking/scrapbooking. I am using a #1 hook and Craft Floss from JanLynn. The craft floss is similar to embroidery floss, but it doesn't untwist. The pink, white and yellow flowers above are with craft floss and the varigated, periwinkle and sage flowers are with embroidery floss. The largest flower (I call Double) is from Nichole's instructions here. The medium flower (I call Single) is my take on Debbie's Grandma's flowers. You can see Grandma's flower in my previous post. The smallest flower (I call Mini) is my own creation. The instructions for the Mini are (keep in mind, I was wingin' it here): ch5, sl st to form a circle, 10 sc in circle, in first sc you will: *sc, 3dc, sc.* You will repeat from *-* in every other sc in circle. After completing last petal, you will sl st to the first petal to finish off. I hope that is clear, if not, let me know.
The abbreviations are:
ch = chain stitch sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet dc = double crochet 3dc = three double crochet in same stitch

I love these. One of my goals this summer is to learn to crochet, just so I can make these. Thanks for sharing. We'll be in the US by Thurs, and can't wait to get started.
