Just a quick little post as I am playing catch up this week. My laptop is about 6-7 years old and is starting to have quite the mind of it's own lately. I am hoping it will limp along for a little longer, maybe Santa will put a new one under the tree, that would be mighty nice if I do say so myself :)
The card I am sharing with you today is for this weeks Viva la Verve Week 4 sketch challenge. This sketch was created by Laurie Schmidlin and I have to say I wasn't sure how I was going to handle the diagonal stripes. All in all, I really like how this one turned out. I used stamps from Verve's Tag Time and Big Wish sets and the Verve A Cut Above Leafy Sprig die set and
Because of these pretty prints from My Mind's Eye's A Happy Heart 6 x 6 pad I was forced to use colors that I wouldn't normally put together. I did a little faux stitching around the edge of the pink print and the cream/gold stripes. The pretty little flower is from Prima's sugar blooms collection.

Beautiful card, Melissa! Aren't those Prima blooms fabulous??? I'll have to get up the nerve to do a Verve challenge....all those layers and parts and pieces scare me, but you do them beautifully!
