Hello, here we are at the end of the week. It has been crazy
and busy for me as I prepare to head to Chicago early, early, early on Monday
morning for the CHA (Craft and Hobby Assn) show. I am looking forward to
it and also looking forward to meeting up with
some of my online friends. I will be on the lookout for cool and
exciting things for the store, plus taking a couple of classes. Whew, I
am tired already and I haven't even left yet!
Today I am sharing part 3
of my Echo Park So Happy/ Patchwork card collection. If you haven't followed
along this week, you can read all about it here and here.
I started this card with a white card base and then added a layer of the polka dot side of the Patchwork print with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots. I continued to layer the papers to create each of the panels. I used Tombow Foam Tabs to pop the top Patchwork panel up for a little dimension. I stamped the sentiment with Adirondack Pool ink and then added a bit of shading with Tombow Dual Brush Marker N95 (Cool Gray). A Tombow Power Tab was added to the back of the button to insure that it would stay in place. Did you know the Power Tabs can hold up to 6.5 ounces? Pretty cool huh?
For this card I used some more of the yellow dot side of the EP Patchwork print paper which was adhered to the embossed panel with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots. I used the same adhesive for each of the panels. I used some Tombow Foam Tabs behind the image panel for a little dimension. I love this little image from By Lori Designs and colored it with the Irojiten Colored Pencils. I love how these pencils blend together so nicely. To adhere the buttons I cut a Tombow Power Tab in three pieces and put just a tiny bit behind each one. The sentiment is from the MFT Celebrate the Season set (yes, I know this is a holiday stamp set, but the sentiment is perfect for celebrating the summer season too, especially if you love the hot weather like I do!
