Seize the Cake

Hello and happy, happy Saturday!  Not much going on around here today.  With the kitchen in a shambles I am looking forward to little to no cooking for the next few weeks. Whoo hoooo!  

Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for a special August birthday girl.  

My inspiration for this card came from the TPE159 sketch challenge on The Pink Elephant blog.  I started with some GKD PL Kraft cardstock and then added prints from the MME Lost and Found-Blush collection. The cake image is from By LORi Designs, isn't it adorable? As a finishing touch I added a few buttons that were tied with some embroidery floss.  I know the cake plate is a bit over the top, but who wouldn't love a beautiful glittery platter like that?  You know you would! :)
