Butterfly Clips

Hi there, this week over on the Tombow blog we have been teaming up with Maya Road.

I used the Maya Road Soar Butterflies stamp set to create this little set of clips.  I started by painting each of the clothespins with a coat of gesso and then I added strips of paper using Tombow Mono Multi.  The Mono Multi dried quickly and the paper is nice and secure.

I stamped the butterflies with black ink and then cut them out and layered the smaller butterflies on top of the larger ones.  I used the Tombow Mono Multi for this.  After I cut the butterflies out, I went around each one with a Black (N00) Tombow Dual Brush Pen and then added some glitter glue to finish off the wings.

This would be a great project to do with kids.  Try adding some magnets to the back as these would be great to put on the fridge to hold coupons and special photos.
