Hop with Tombow and Stampendous

Hi there!  Today I am so excited to be hopping along with my fellow Tombow teamies and the amazing team from Stampendous.

If you arrived at my blog from Lea Kimmel's blog, you are in the right place, if not you can go back to the Tombow Blog and start from the beginning.

I received the beautiful Jumbo Calla Lily stamp set and the Birthday Assortment set to work with and at first I was stumped as to what to do with a stamp that was so large when I generally create cards and I thought WOW these stamps are not going to fit on any card I make.....boy was I wrong!

I searched for pictures of the Calla Lily and found this beautiful photo to use as my inspiration.

I love watercolor and wondered how it would work if I used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens to watercolor on some shimmer cardstock.  It worked beautifully!

My first card is  4-Bar sized card (3.5 x 5) and I embossed the single Lily stem with white embossing power and then used Dual Brush Pens in #620, #076, #126 and #451.  I outlined each area with a color of marker and then used a small (lightly wet) paintbrush to spread the color within the embossed area.  Sometimes when watercoloring your paper can warp.  No problem!  I used Tombow's new XTREME Glue Tape to adhere my image panel to the black layer and again to attach everything to the pretty purple card base.  This adhesive is so strong, you would never be able to tell that my cardstock had some warping.  That is AWESOME in my book!

This is your standard A2 sized card (4.25 x 5.5) and I created it in the same manner as above.  For this card I used the double Lily stem, embossed in white and colored with the following Tombow Dual Brush Pens:  #673, #076, #126 and #451  I used Tombow's XTREME Glue Tape to adhere each of the layers together.

This card is A7 in size (5 x 7) and I was able to use both of the Lily images in the set on this card as well as one of the sentiments from the Stampendous Birthday Assortment set.  The Tombow Dual Brush Pens used for this card were: #623, #076, #126 and #451.  Tombow XTREME Glue Tape was used to hold everything together.

Below is a list of each of the blogs along the hop.  Be sure to leave a comment along the way for a chance to win some great prizes from Tombow and Stampendous.
