RI Project of the Week - One Layer Card

This is my second post for today, please scroll down to see the first post.

HI there!

Today is my turn to share a Project of the Week for Repeat Impressions with you.  I want to show you how to complete a quick and easy One Layer Card.

My brain has been in beach mode, so I pulled some stamps and inks that I thought would work well for a beach themed card.

I started with a white card base.

Mask off one inch one either side. You can use masking paper or large post it notes like I did.  Using daubers, I applied the inks down the center of the card.

Next, using brown ink I stamped the RI Conch Shell #2410-I and colored it with markers and then using a stamp positioner, I added the sentiment from the RI Sea Quartet #8508-U.

For a final touch, I stamped the RI Gulls In Flight #3412-C  and then I used a ruler and brown fine tip marker to draw a line down either side of the sponged panel.

This card was quick (it took 15 minutes to make) and easy.

  1. This is a great POTW, Melissa! A 15 minute card works for me! I'm looking forward to meeting you in Maine when you visit.
