Hi there! Tonight I am sharing a card that I created for for a blog hop being hosted by members of StampTV Center Stage Alumni. A group of us have decided to get together a couple of times a month and host a themed hop in order to share our love for Gina K. stamps. For this hop we were given this photo as inspiration. If you've arrived from my pal Lori McAree's blog then you're at the right place! To start at the beginning, please go to StampTV and hop from there.Friday, July 23, 2010

It's a Twinchie!
Hi there! I hope everyone had a happy Wednesday. Mine was pretty uneventful! I did get a card made though, so I will consider today a victory. This card will be for someone who is having a birthday later this month. I know she likes pink, so I hope she will like it.

Quick Butterfly Cards
Here are the cards that the gals made in my class today. For each card we used a couple of butterfly punches from EK Success. The designs are simple, but we used some sort of fun tool on each one.
For the Raspberry/Vine card I had them stamp the vine with Lettuce Adirondack ink and then color the leaves with Copic markers (YG03 and YG05). The small butterflies were punched out of Dark Racy Raspberry cs from Worldwin and the large ones were punched from SEI's Brigeport collection. The large butterfly in the middle is the reverse side of the paper from the other two. For the berries we used some little metal stickers from ??? (I will look on Monday and let you know) These happen to be berry colored but they come in gold, silver and probably other colors too! A little bit of stickles was used on the berry colored butterflies for added bling.
For the next card, I cut Hillary Bazzill cardstock into 4Bar sized cards (3 1/2 x 5) and we ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Leafy Branch embossing folder. We had to run it through once and then scooch the folder over a bit to get the full width of the card. The butterfly was mounted onto an inchie square that had been stamed with a background image in Lettuce ink. It was then placed on the berry panel and attached to the card. A little clear gem was added for the head of the butterfly. There is a white panel with the small butterfly punched out of the corner on the inside of the card.
For the last card we scored 1/8" around the white panel (it is hard to see in the pic) and then layered to the Hillary panel and then to the white card. The butterflies are from the SEI Brigeport collection also. "Amazing Friend" (Hero Arts) was stamped in Cranberry Adirondack ink.
It was a fun class and the ladies were all great! I just love them all!

I am so excited!
I won something! Whoo Hooo! I was just reading the Inchie Inklings blog and found out that I won the Rustic Inchie Challenge. You can read all about it here. The next challenge is from Nov 15th to Dec 15th and the theme is Holiday Scene Inchie. You should really consider submitting an inchie as there aren't too many people participating right now (made it easier for me to win) and your odds are good to win. How about a little friendly competition? If you are interested, you can get all of the deets here.
I have been creating and have a few pics to edit and upload, stay tuned!

Inching to Stamp

For this little guy I cut a couple of strips of the SEI cardstock and added some brown Dew Drops as embellishments. What you can't see here is that I sprayed Gold Memories Mist over the card/inchie and it is so pretty and shimmery!
For this one, I used a bigger square of the striped paper and a smaller square of the Double Dot cardstock. The ribbons are from Amuse. Just for your info...........I love this ribbon! Okay, so I love all ribbon, but that's supposed to be a secret!
Here is the last one. Mr. Pumpkin is layered on a brown panel and then the striped panel. I hand wrote "Happy Fall" in the corner and embellished with a button and some hemp cording. The edges were distressed with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and then a little Adirondack Ginger ink was rubbed around the edges.
If you want more info about the inchies, you can check out Inchie Arts here. All inchie supplies used can be purchased at The Cat's Meow.
