RI WIW-Anything Goes
Happy, happy Wednesday friends!
I was so excited that this was an "Anything Goes" week on The House That Stamps Built blog. The last six months have been full of trials for our family and sometimes we didn't know if we were coming or going. We have had a family member with a 4 month stent in the hospital and we are now on the road to recovery. We've helped another family member find a new in home care provider and that is working out wonderful. Recently our family lost a wonderful man in a tragic automobile accident and last week we had the chance to celebrate his amazing life. So you see, it has been quite a year!
I chose to share a card with you that I created and shared last summer. This card is so special to me because it showcases the sea and to me the sea is a place to go when you need to take a deep breath, gather your thoughts and recharge.
A few times a year, I am fortunate to visit the sea with some amazing friends and family. It may be the West Coast or the East Coast, but no matter it is a time of joy for me and a time I cherish.
I think this card says it all. My wish for you all is that you will get a chance to dip your toes into the sea, take a deep breath and relax and enjoy all that life has to offer.
I chose a sand/surf color theme and the RI Sea Quartet #8508-U stamp. I embossed the image in gold embossing powder and edged it with some Tea Dye Distress ink. I popped the image up onto an embossed aqua panel and then added that to a deep teal panel and sand colored card. For a finishing touch, I added some shimmery gold Dew Drops in two of the corners.
Now, I ask you to please stop by each of my fellow Rock Star's blogs, check out their amazing creations and leave a little love while you are there. :)
We would love to have you play along with the challenge as well, head on over to The House That Stamps Built for all of the details. Wendy will be giving away an awesome prize to one lucky person who plays along :)
Don't forget, if you are itching to do a little Repeat Impressions' shopping, you will find a 10% off discount code in my right sidebar. Don't forget to use it! You will be glad that you did!

Penquin Fun RI Sketch Challenge S1813
Good Morning! Today the Repeat Rock Stars are sharing cards created with this awesome sketch by Wendy of Repeat Impressions.
As you can see, I was a bit of a rebel Rock Star today and turned the sketch on its side. This image of these cute little penguins #8802 was perfect for this layout. Did you know that most penguins have black beaks with just a touch of orange on either side? I didn't until I research penguin colors for this card. Most of them either have black or peachy colored (sometimes speckled) feet. I went with the peachy feet this time :)
Here is the inside, where I used the the Coolest Christmas sentiment #8803
Be sure to stop by each of the Repeat Rock Star blogs and check out their amazing projects.

You're a Peach
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today, RI Rock Star, Cheri has challenged the team to create a "Food Happy" card/project.
Being the newest Rock Star on the block, I didn't have any food images (yet), so my fellow Rock Star, Brenda sent me this sweet RI Peaches image #504 to use. I colored the image in with Copic markers and then added a little bit of orange Wink of Stella brush pen to the peaches to add a pretty little shimmer.
My layout inspiration came from Operation Write Home Sketch#184

Dreams take flight
Happy MondayY'all!
It's a new week and I am wishing for some cooler weather and rain soon. Come on Fall!
Woo hoo, this week the Tombow team is hopping with Tifany DeGough. Be sure to check out all of the great projects along the way. As always, there will be a Tombow giveaway at the end of the week. Be sure to check out the details below.
I created my card using some more of the awesome paper that Fancy Pants gave us to use. These prints are from the Happy Go Lucky collection. I just love them!
I started with a white card base and added each of the layers using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots. Next, I stamped the fun Repeat Impressions Hot Air Balloon Cluster # 9116N and the Dreams Take Flight #9117F in Stone ink onto some white cardstock and colored it with Irojiten Colored Pencils. For a finishing touch I added a bit of Stardust Stickles.
I am going to send you on your way to Jennie's blog, but be sure to stop at each blog along the way and leave a comment for a chance to win.

RI Sketch Challenge Time--Sketch S413
Today, I am sharing a card created using this great sketch from Wendy, the owner of Repeat Impressions.
I love how simple the sketch is. This makes for a quick and easy card.
For my card, I used the Oak Leaf #5110 and the Season Sentiment #3212. I started with a light brown card base and added some yellow woodgrain print paper from We R Memory Keepers as a base layer. I then cut some triangle pieces from the same We R paper line and adhered them to create the ribbon look to the middle of the card. I stamped the leave image on a scrap of white cardstock and die cut it and the scallop layers using my Spellbinders dies. For a finishing touch I added a little bow.

It's Official!
I am a Rock Star!
A few weeks ago, I was blessed by Wendy Wyman of Repeat Impressions Rubber Stamps with an invitation to join her team of Rock Stars! I quickly said yes!
I was lucky enough to meet Wendy in person on my recent trip to Maine with fellow Rock Star, Joy Hadden.
You can read Wendy's post on her blog, The House that Stamps Built, here.
Repeat Impressions has a ton (yes, really a ton) of images to choose from. Everything from Whimsical to Classical. You can check them out here.
I wish you all a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
