Winter Wonderland hop with Tombow and Stampendous

“Welcome to the TombowUSA and Stampendous! Winter Wonderland hop!
If you have come from Pam Hornschu's awesome blog then you are on the right track, if not- you can start the hop over at the Stampendous Blog!

This hop will be a 3-day hop beginning today!

Hope you are ready to see some winter-ful projects using both TombowUSA and Stampendous products.”

First up, I created a card using these adorable penguins from Stampendous.

I stamped the Stampendous Bundled Penguins #RS-Q206 in black ink and watercolored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens  in a variety of aquas and grays with a touch of orange :)  To add some shimmer to the card, I added some Clear Wink of Stella over the penguins and their hats/scarves.  I used Stampendous Shaved Ice for the snow at the penguins feet and around the sentiment.  I used Tombow Xtreme, Foam Tabs and Mono Multi to adhere the layers and embellies.

For my next card, I used some of the fun Stampendous embossing powder and a sentiment stamp.

I stamped the Retro Script Merry Christmas #RS-G093 in black ink onto die cut label and edged it with some Stampendous Spoonful of Snow embossing powder.  I also edged the blue print panel of the card with the same embossing powder.  I used Tombow Xtreme, Foam Tabs and Mono Multi to adhere the layers of the card together.  I finished off this card with a beautiful bow.

How about a prize pack?

Tombow's hopping with Jen Goode

Hi there!  Today, the Tombow team is hopping with Jen Goode from 100directions.com and we are glad you have joined us.

You should have arrived at my blog from Debbie's awesome blog, but if you didn't you can go back to the Tombow blog and start from the beginning.

Just yesterday, I saw a video on Splitcoaststampers that had the instructions for this cool
Screen Divider card and I had to give it a try.

I cut the main panel according to the instructions in the tutorial and then punched the top with a Martha Stewart punch and die cut the bottom with a Spellbinders die to create the "legs" of the screen.  I stamped the mistletoe image from the Inky Antics Christmas Greenery set in Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.  I used Tombow Xtreme Adhesive to adhere each of the layers together and to the main panel.  To finish off the card, I added some Stickles to the leaves, Wink of Stella to the ribbons and Enamel Accents to the berries.

Now, how about a giveaway?

In order to be qualified to win this amazing PRIZE, PLEASE comment on each of the designers projects.
We will announce a winner Monday 10/17.

Now, I am going to send you to Jennie's awesome blog for some more crafty goodness.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  I hope you are having a boo-ti-ful day!

Today, I am going to re-visit some of my favorite Halloween card creations.

First up is this adorable Witchy Prue card:

Prue was colored with Tombow Irojiten Color Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I used Tombow Foam Tabs for the popped up parts and Tombow Mono Adhesive for the flat panels. Prue is a digi image from By Lori Designs.

Next up is Frankie:

Frankie is another digi from By Lori Designs and was colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a bit of Irojiten color pencil for the shading.  The Dual Brush Pens and Irojiten pencils like to play nice together that way.  Try it out!
I used Tombow Mono Multi to hold this adorable Fry Box together.  The box is a downloadable file from the Silhouette store.

Last, but not least is another By Lori Designs digi file (can you tell I really love BLD?) called Marvin Mummy.

Marvin was simply colored with just a couple of Tombow Dual Brush pens and the Blender pen.  I added the shading with Dual Brush Pen #N95 and for his skin I used Dual Brush Pen #850 and the Blender pen.  When using the Blender pen, I like to scribble my color onto an acrylic block and then pick up the color with the Blender pen.  Tombow Foam Tabs and Tombow Mono Adhesive were used to hold everything together.

I hope you have enjoyed this little blast from my Halloween past!  Happy trick or treating today!

This week we our focus is on the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Muted Color set.

I stamped the Repeat Impressions Chickadee at Rest #211-P onto some cream cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I used the Muted Color set for all of my coloring on this card.  I also used Tombow Xtreme Adhesive and Tombow Foam Tabs to hold everything nice and snug!

Be sure to hop on over to each of the blogs along the way, you will find the lineup below:

Pretty in Pink

Hi there!  This week the Tombow team has been sharing cards/projects with a pink theme in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and all of the Warrior women who have had  breast cancer.

I think if you ask anyone, they will say that they have either battled breast cancer or held the hand of someone who has.

The card I am sharing today is for all of them.  This card has a bit of a vintage feel, yet soft and powerful with pink tones.

The technique I used for this card is one that I call Glazed Watercolor Technique. It is simple, fun and quick!

I started this card by pulling out the Noble stamp from Penny Black and applying Tombow Dual Brush Pens directly to the rubber.  The colors I used are:

Leaves:  126 and 098
Flowers:  772, 723 and 761
Shading:  N95

After coloring directly to the rubber, I gave the stamp a few spritz with some homemade shimmer spray (recipe below) and then I stamped it onto some 140# cold press watercolor paper and held it there for a count of 10.  Carefully lift the stamp and allow image to dry.

Now here comes the fun....glazing part...okay it isn't really glaze, but it looks that way when finished.  I inked the stamp with Versamark ink and overstamped the watercolor image (be sure your image is dry) a little to one side or the other as this gives a bit of a shadow. Emboss with clear embossing powder.   Use the Tombow N95 marker to add some light shading to the side of the image that is not covered by clear embossing.  See, I told you the technique was easy.

I would love for you to give my technique a try, if you do please come back and leave me a message so that I can check it out and show you some love!

Now, here is the recipe for the homemade shimmer spray:

In a fine mist spray bottle add a little bit of Ranger Perfect Pearls in whatever color you prefer and then fill with water.  Give the bottle a shakey shake and you are ready to go.  If you like a little sparkle, just add a little powder.  If you like a lot of sparkle, add a little more.  I always start with a little and adjust as needed.

I used Tombow's Xtreme Adhesive and Foam Tabs to hold everything together.  This is a great combo when you are using heavier paper like watercolor paper.

OWH World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Hey there, it is World Card Making Day and today I am hopping with the amazing folks at Operation Write Home.  OWH has asked for Love cards for the hop and they must meet the OWH Guidelines as well.

I have created this card using no foam tape and no glitter....imagine that!

I love this little Bird's Nest Branch image from Repeat Impressions and if a little nest of eggs doesn't say LOVE, I don't know what does.

I used Tombow Xtreme Adhesive to adhere each of the layers together, this card will not fall apart in the mail, no way no how!

I am not going to keep you as their are lots and lots of links for you to check out, you can find them all HERE on the OWH blog.

Tombow Challenge Time--Jennie's Book Challenge

Hey there and happy Monday.  It is time for Jennie to share her challenge on the Tombow blog and Jennie has chosen a "Book" Theme.

For my project, I chose to make some Fall themed bookmarks.

I used one of my favorite Fall themed stamp sets from Reverse Confetti called Forever Fall.  I love to color my stamps with Tombow's Dual Brush pens and wanted to give it a try with this set.  I wasn't sure how well it would work because the stamps are clear and sometimes that can be a bit tricky.  I loved how these turned out.  I colored the images with the markers and then gave them a light spritz with water and stamped them onto some cream cardstock.  I wanted to keep these very simple as I am going to make quite a few and donate them to our local library to give to the kids when they check out books.

A little tip I gave a few days ago and want to repeat because I used it again today.

Use some Tombow Mono Aqua on your twine to stiffen it up a bit as this allows it to be much easier to tie in a bow.  The bow will really hold it's shape this way.  To do this, I just squirt some Mono Aqua out onto a scrap of cardstock and run the twine through it,  I use my fingers to lay the twine out nice and straight on my non stick craft mat and let it dry for a few minutes before I tie a bow or add to a project.

Now, how would you like to win this awesome prize pack?

                                                   MONO Multi Liquid Glue

Head on over to the Tombow blog for all of the details!

Hop with Tombow and Precious Remembrance Shop Day 3

I hope you are ready from some Fun Ideas and Great Prizes this week fromTombowUSA  and Precious Remembrance Shop

If you're here from Kim Bell's amazing blog, then you’re in the right place,  if not then you may want to start at the beginning from the TombowUSA Blog

I can't believe it is Day 3 of the hop already!  I have really enjoyed hopping with the gals at Precious Remembrance Shop.  The PR stamps are so my style and I love them!

For my final project for the hop  I have created a Thank You card.  I used the PR Thanks Stamp Set and the Oh So Fun Stamp Set.  I stamped the cute little jar and the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Next I stamped the little triangles from the Oh So Fun set with some pink, aqua and pool colored inks and added some Wink of Stella to a few and some Stardust Stickles to a few more.  I colored the top of the jar with a Tombow Dual Brush Pen.  I die cut the sentiment and scalloped oval and used some Tombow Xtreme to adhere the sentiment to the scallop layer.  I used Tombow Foam Tabs to adhere the sentiment panel to the image panel and the image panel to the Dot embosses white card.  I added a bit more Stickles to the the cute little hearts on the sentiment.  I used Tombow Mono Multi to adhere the narrow strips of paper to the white panel.

Here is a tip for you:

Use some Tombow Mono Aqua on your twine to stiffen it up a bit as this allows it to be much easier to tie in a bow.  The bow will really hold it's shape this way.  To do this, I just squirt some Mono Aqua out onto a scrap of cardstock and run the twine through it,  I use my fingers to lay the twine out nice and straight on my non stick craft mat and let it dry for a few minutes before I tie a bow or add to a project.

Give it a try, you will be glad you did!

Hop with Tombow and Precious Remembrance Shop Day 2

I hope you are ready from some Fun Ideas and Great Prizes this week fromTombowUSA  and Precious Remembrance Shop

If you're here from Kim Bell's  amazing blog, then you’re in the right place,  if not then you may want to start at the beginning from the TombowUSA Blog

For this card, I used stamps from the Precious Remembrance Thank You set.  I started the card by creating a sun and rays using several different prints in yellows/oranges.  I used Tombow Mono Multi on the back of each piece of the sun as this allowed me a little wiggle time to get the pieces in just the right place.  I stamped the adorable little "x" stitch stamp from the Thank You set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink between each of the different print papers to give the sun a stitched look.  I love how this turned out!  Next I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink and cut it out and trimmed it with an Orange #933 Tombow Dual Brush Pen.  I used Tombow Foam Tabs behind the sentiment, clouds and sunshine panel and Tombow Xtreme for the yellow panel to white card.  This baby is not coming apart!
