Miss You and Tombow Hop

Happy Monday everyone!  Today the Tombow team is hopping with Hilary Kanwischer of Hilary Scraps

I am loving that fall has finally come and I wanted to use this winter image to create a fall themed card.

I started with the OWH sketch # 189 as my inspiration. I stamp the Repeat Impressions Home for the Holidays #304N in Rich Cocoa ink and then colored in just the trees with Irojiten Colored Pencils in a few green tones. I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere the image panel to the brown layer and for the flags to the base card.  I popped up the image panel with Tombow Foam Tabs.

Be sure to stop at each hop along the way and leave a comment for a chance to win the following Tombow prize.

I would also love it if you would pop on over to Facebook and like my INKclinations page and Tombow's page.

Have a great day!

OWH/Tombow Blog Skip

Happy, happy 4th of July to each and every one of you.

Today, The Operation Write Home Team and the Tombow Blog Team have joined forces to bring you a Patriotic blogskip.

You should have arrived at my blog from Nancy's blog, if you didn't you can head back to the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Blog and start from there.

The layout for my card was inpired by the Operation Write Home sketch #36.  You will find the sketch here

I created a card that would be great for any soldier to send to a friend back home.  I started with a white card base and then added some Bo Bunny print papers using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  Next, I cut a large star from red cardstock and a medium star from white cardstock using my Silhouette.  I embossed the red layer with a folder from Lifestyle Crafts.  I used some more Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere each of these layers together and then used some Tombow Foam Tabs to add the dark blue panel to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Peacock Pretties set in dark blue ink onto a white circle and layered it to red and blue panels using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  The blue panel was popped up using Tombow Foam Tabs.

Now, you have made it this far....how about a chance to win these (see below) awesome adhesives from Tombow.  Be sure to comment on each stop along the way.

Now, I am going to send you skipping along to Paula's blog.  I know she will have some amazing eye candy for you!

Happy Independence Day!

OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop

Hi there and happy Saturday everyone!

Today I am sharing a card that I created for the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop.

The theme is to create a Thank You card using one of the many, many sketches from OWH.  You can find all of the sketches HERE.

I picked Sketch 133 to work with and stuck pretty much to it, I changed the horizontal panel to a flag instead of the rectangle, but that was about it.

Isn't this little cup cute?  I used a new (to me) product called Wink of Stella by Zig to add a little sparkle to the steam.  I love this because it gave the card a little zip without the worry of glitter rubbing off.  Just perfect I say!

There are lots of blogs to see along the way, so I am just going to share the card recipe below.  If you have any questions, be sure to leave me a comment (with a way to get back to you).  Happy hopping!

Recipe:
Stamps:  Cyber Cafe-Paper Smooches
Paper:  Neenah Solor White, Melon from ??, Floral-October Afternoon, Dot from ??
Ink:  Tuxedo Black-Memento
Extras:  Tombow Dual Brush Pens (N75 & 991), Buttons, Twine
Adhesives:  Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots, Tombow Foam Tabs

I am not going to keep you as there are a lot of great stops on this hop and you can find a complete list by clicking on the banner below.

Thank you to all of our service men and women who protect us everyday.  My world is a better place because of you.

OWH Blog Hop

Happy Saturday and happy World Card Making Day!  Today I will actually be at home and hope to find some challenges on the net to play along with.

Today's share is a simple (for me) card that I created for Operation Write Home Blog Hop that is happening today.  We were to pick one of the OWH Sketches so I picked lucky #77 to work with.   You can click on the banner to be taken to a loooong list of people who are playing along.  Be sure to stop by and check them out, there will be a ton of inspiration for you.

By the way, somewhere I totally missed that this was supposed to be winter/holiday themed.  Oops!  I hope you will enjoy my "miss you" card just the same.  :)

I used two awesome sets from Paper Smooches for this card.  I have to tell you, I think the PS whimsical style is adorable and it just sings to my heart.  I used Chubby Chums and Sentiment Sampler.  The words "miss you" come from the Sentiment Sampler set and the bird is from the Chubby Chums set.  I colored her with some Tombow Dual Brush Pens and the Tombow Blender pen. The print cardstocks are from the October Afternoon Farm Fresh collection, an older collection but still one of my favorites.  For Operation Write Home you can't send cards with glitter, so I added some red Sakura Stardust pen to the bottom of Chickie's feet for a little sparkle without the worry of glitter. After all, after she reaches her destination at one of our oh so amazing military bases, she will then be sent home to someone's special chickie and I thought it only fitting that she was outfitted in her best Christian Louboutin shoes, you know the shoes famous for their red soles :)  Besides her little feet look like hearts so red was only fitting.

I won't keep you, but be sure to click on the Operation Write Home banner above and check out what the other hoppers have to share.

have a blessed day,
