Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  I hope you are having a boo-ti-ful day!

Today, I am going to re-visit some of my favorite Halloween card creations.

First up is this adorable Witchy Prue card:

Prue was colored with Tombow Irojiten Color Pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I used Tombow Foam Tabs for the popped up parts and Tombow Mono Adhesive for the flat panels. Prue is a digi image from By Lori Designs.

Next up is Frankie:

Frankie is another digi from By Lori Designs and was colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a bit of Irojiten color pencil for the shading.  The Dual Brush Pens and Irojiten pencils like to play nice together that way.  Try it out!
I used Tombow Mono Multi to hold this adorable Fry Box together.  The box is a downloadable file from the Silhouette store.

Last, but not least is another By Lori Designs digi file (can you tell I really love BLD?) called Marvin Mummy.

Marvin was simply colored with just a couple of Tombow Dual Brush pens and the Blender pen.  I added the shading with Dual Brush Pen #N95 and for his skin I used Dual Brush Pen #850 and the Blender pen.  When using the Blender pen, I like to scribble my color onto an acrylic block and then pick up the color with the Blender pen.  Tombow Foam Tabs and Tombow Mono Adhesive were used to hold everything together.

I hope you have enjoyed this little blast from my Halloween past!  Happy trick or treating today!

Top 13 of 2013

Hi there and happy 2014!

Operation Write Home is having a hop where each person can share their Top 13 cards/projects for 2013.

Now all of my projects may not be OWH cards and I will note underneath if there is a reason why it wouldn't meet OWH guidelines.  I think this will help the newer OWH card creators to know what can/cannot be used (i.e. glitter, bulk,) for our cards for our Heros.

If you would like more info on any of the cards posted, please click on the name above the card to be taken to my original blog post.

OMIT the glitter from the heart on this one and it would be a great Valentine or Love card from OWH.  Always remember, no glitter for Operation Write Home.

I loved creating this card, possibly my personal favorite for the whole year.  I loved everything about making this card.

Okay, this is not okay for Operation Write Home but definitely on my favorites list.

This one has some layers, but lays nice and flat.

This one was created for the Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop

I loved the way this one turned out, you can definitely tell it was warm outside by all of the bright colors I used :)

Okay, these are just plain fun!  OMIT the glitter from the guitar if you want to create something like this for OWH.

Another bright and summery card.  If I were to use this for OWH, I would OMIT the glitter and just tie a small knot instead of the bow.

Lots of layers, but not a lot of bulk.

This one was created for Operation Write Home's World Card Making Day Blog Hop.
Click the link above the card to see a more masculine version.

Lots of layers, but still nice and flat for OWH, OMIT the glitter on the cattails and this would be a great card for OWH.

Love the simplicity of this card, yet it has a little pop to it by using the silver embossing powder on the ornament.

These were just some of my favorites for the year.  I invite you to stop back by and check out my blog as I love to create and share with you all.

Hello, I can't believe it has been a whole week since my last post.  Crazy, isn't it?

Today I am sharing a card I created with the Charlotte's Flowers digi image from By LORi Designs.

The print papers for this card are from the Pebbles Family Ties collection.  I just love the pretty spring feel to this card.  We are supposed to have some awesome sunshine here today, that always makes for a happy girl :)

Hi Ya'll!

Happy mid week to each and everyone of you.  I was just looking in my blogger dashboard and found that this post from over a week ago never went live!  Egads!

So let me share this adorable card with you now.

This image is the super sweet image is Puddle Jumper Ella Three designed by the ever so talented Lori Boyd of By LORi Designs.  I colored the image in with Tombow Irojiten Color Pencils and OMS.  The pretty print paper is from Doodlebug.  I love it!

I hope your weekend is amazing!  See you back here on Monday when I will have two new posts to share.

Pedal Pusher Audrey-BLD Tuesday

I am excited to tell you that By Lori Designs is introducing 15 new images for Spring.  You can see them all HERE.

Each one is super sweet and cute.  Be sure to check them out!

Today, I am sharing Pedal Pusher Audrey with you.Audrey has the prettiest curly hair.  I always (and still do) wish I had long curly hair.  Nope, got the short, wavy stuff instead.

I pulled some pieces and parts that were on my desk and that is where my color inspiration came from for this card.  The base card is a salmony pink color and the watercolor print behind Audrey is a scrap from an older Basic Grey collection. Even the flower and button were just sitting on my desk waiting to be used.

Be sure to head on over to By LORi Designs and check out the rest of the teams amazing creations.

BLD Tuesday Water Fun

Good Morning!  It has been a couple of weeks since I've had a BLD Tuesday post and I am thrilled to be playing with Lori's adorable images again.

This week I am sharing one of the images from the new Pedal Pushers release.  You can find them right HERE.

I used Water Hose Whitney for my card today.  I think I am hoping and praying for some warm and sunny weather.  Today it is raining with the possibility of snow.  Blech!  No Snow!  Yesterday it was sunny and I took this picture outside, I wish it would stay sunny, just sayin'.

I used papers from the new Pebbles Family Ties collection. I know you can't tell, but I added some Glossy Accents to the dots on her swim cap and to the water.  I then sprinkled a little glitter over the water and it is so pretty and sparkly.  I colored her with a variety of Copic markers and finished off the card with some tied buttons.

Now, for some exciting news!  Lori now has several of her images in RUBBER!  I have been waiting for these images in rubber for along time and can't wait to get my hands on them soon.  Come on USPS!  You will find all of the rubber images HERE!

Be sure to head on over to the By LORi Designs Digi Shop and check out the adorable cards that my fellow teamies have created.  You will love them....no, really you will!

BLD Tuesday-Lollipop Ella Valentine

Hello and happy Tuesday.  I have finally come down from all of the CHA trip hoopla and am getting back into the swing of things.

Today I am sharing a card I created using the Lollipop Ella Valentine image from By LORi Designs.

I have been trying to use up some of my scrap stash so I pulled out these pretty pink and green scraps and built my card around them.  I colored this sweet Ella Valentine with Copic markers.  The dots on her bow and the heart are pretty and sparkly with the help of some Diamond Stickles.  I finished off the card with some buttons and twine.

Be sure to head on over to By LORi Designs and check out the amazing creations by the rest of the team.

There is still time to play with the latest BLD Challenge, you will find it HERE.

Lollipop Gracie Valentine

Happy, happy Friday.  Whew, I started off the week with a bit of a cold and must say I was glad to see it go!  I can't believe we are nearing mid January already, before we know it February will be here and it will be time to remember the sweeties in our lives on Valentine's Day.

Today I am sharing a sweet Valentine I created using the Lollipop Gracie Framed digi image from By LORi Designs.

I printed the image onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored the image using Tombow Dual Brush Pens in the following colors:  #800 Baby Pink, #850 Flesh, #991 Light Ochre, #835 Persimmon, #885 Warm Red, #856 Chinese Red, #N00 Black and the Colorless Blender.  I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere each of the flat layers of cardstock together.  The image panel is popped up using Tombow Foam Tabs.  For her sweet bow, I cut a Tombow Power Tab into fourths and used one piece behind the bow.  I used the remaining pieces behind the button to hold it firmly in place.   For the heart, I filled it in with Tombow Mono Aqua Glue and then covered it liberally with red glitter.

TTFN,

BLD Tuesday Valentine Peyton

Happy Tuesday to you all!  I am home today with a cold and hoping that it is gone soon as I leave on Saturday for CHA in Anaheim.  I am so hoping for some warmer weather in So Cal, cause it has been cold, cold here in the Central Valley.

Today I am sharing this adorable Bug and Roo Peyton Valentine image from By LORi Designs.

I printed the digi image onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it in with a variety of Copic markers.  The oval panels were cut with my Spellbinders Petite Oval/Scallop dies (I think this is my favorite die set ever).  The image panel and smaller red scallop piece are popped up with some Tombow Foam Tabs. For a finishing touch I added some bright red glitter to the heart.

You can check out the whole Valentine collection HERE or just click on the By LORi Designs banner above.

BLD Tuesday Button Santa

Wooo Hooo, it's Tuesday and do you know what that means?  It means I get to share another awesome digi design from By LORi Designs.

This week I am sharing this adorable Santa image.  Santa comes with a nice little frame around him and I just snipped the frame off and used him alone.

I colored Santa with colored pencils and Gamsol.  I used a couple of reds for Santa's suit and hat, black for his belt, light peach for his face and a peachy pink for his sweet cheeks.  Each of the buttons was finished off with some lime green/white bakers twine.  It has been awhile since I said it so here it goes, no nekkid buttons :)  It only takes a minute to tie the buttons and give your creation a finished look.

Be sure to head on over to By LORi Designs and check out what the rest of my amazing teamies have created this week.

BLD Tuesday-Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Wow, I can't believe it is Tuesday already and time to share some more adorable digi images from By LORi Designs with you.

Although we don't have any snow here right now (thank goodness), we have had lots of rain in the last few days and we really need it, but it makes me want to stay in and stay curled up with my sweet puppies.

Today, my card is full of snowy fun.  Just like the sentiment says, my little snowman is mounted onto an Action Wobble so he really is able to rock around the Christmas Tree.  I colored the snowman and tree with a mix of Copics and Sakura Galaxy pens.  I cut some snowdrifts from white cardstock and added some Stardust Stickles to add a little glisten.

Be sure to head on over to the By LORi Designs blog and check out the rest of the wintery treats the team has to share.

BLD Candy Gram Sam

Hi there folks!  It is Tuesday again and I am back with another awesome image to share with you from By LORi Designs.

Today, I am sharing Candy Gram Sam with you.  He is one of four amazing winter images that Lori has created for us.

Sam was colored with a variety of Copic markers and then layered to some GKD PL Sweet Corn cardstock.  All of the prints are from the Bo Bunny Snow Day 6 x 6 pad.  I haven't used brads in a long time and thought they were the perfect touch along with the little wooden snowflakes.  The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler.

Be sure to head over to By LORi Designs and check out the amazing creations from the rest of the team.

BLD Tuesday- Candy Cane Jane

Hi there!  Today I want to introduce you to an adorable new image from Lori Boyd of By LORi designs.  This little gal is Candy Cane Jane.  Isn't she cute?

I have been trying to gather all of my Christmas themed supplies and get them together in one spot in hopes that it will help make my holiday card creating go a lot faster. I think it is working as I have so many great goodies right at my finger tips now.

.
For this card, I used some fun print papers from the Trimcraft Modern Back to Basics 6 x 6 pad.  They are hard to find, I found mine at my favorite store.  I love that the colors are a little muted, but still on the bright side.  I colored Jane with a variety of Copic markers and then added some extra sparkle to her hair, candy cane and ear muffs.

Her is a close up of the sparkly stuff. I added some Gold Spica pen to her hair, Stardust pen to the band on her earmuffs, some sparkly fluff to her earmuffs, red glitter glue and pearl liquid pearls for the candy cane.

I used this weeks Deconstructed 78 sketch for the layout of my card.

You can find Jane along with the rest of the BLD Holiday bundle here.

Here is a sneaky peek at the rest of the bundle:

Be sure to head on over the the BLD Blog and check out what the rest of the team has to share with you.  You won't be disappointed!
