MFT Camp Create Day 2- Remarkable Resist
Wow! I am back two days in a row! Don't fall out of your chairs with excitement! LOL
Today, I had fun taking on the challenge for MFT's Camp Create Day 2. I had created a card yesterday with this challenge in mind and it just wasn't clicking in my head. I left it overnight and came back to it this morning and it still wasn't working! Argh! In the bin it went.
I started over and came up with this bright and cheery birthday card. I used the MFT Flower Silhouettes Set and the Happy Birthday Script die.
Today, I earned this badge in camp!
See you again tomorrow if the bears don't break into my cabin at camp tonight! :)

RI WIW-Sketch Challenge
It is no secret that I love sketch challenges and this week Wendy has given the Repeat Rock Star team another awesome sketch to work with.
Want to play along? Head on over to The House That Stamps Built blog and join in on the fun.
So, I went a little rebel with the original sketch and flipped it on it's side, used circles instead of squares and left off the band across the edge. Yep, I am a rebel and that is how I roll :)
I die cut the circles onto some white shimmer cardstock and adhered it to a purple cardbase using foam tape. I wrapped some purple shimmer ribbon around the card on each side of the circles before attaching to the card. Be sure to add a little extra tape over the ends of your ribbon so it doesn't pop off in the mail....that would really be the pits!
I added some die cut butterflies into the openings and topped each of them with a little white pearl.
I stamped the Repeat Impressions Birthday Vertical #6104-J down the right side in place of the band as shown in the sketch.
This is a quick and easy card and you could whip up a whole set using many of the different Verticals in the collection.
Here is Wendy's awesome sketch:

RI WIW-Designer's Choice Challenge
Hi there!
This week on The House That Stamps Built blog is the Designer's Choice Challenge and it is my turn to pick the challenge. I picked a "Fresh & Fruity" Theme.
Right now, I am loving fresh grown strawberries and chose to use one of my favorite Repeat Impressions stamps to create my card.
I stamped the Repeat Impressions Strawberries #515-L onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock
and colored it with Copic
markers. Next, I cut the image panel and two coordinating panels with some Cross Stitch Oval Dies and popped up the image panel with foam tape. The oval panels are added to some pretty print layers and for a finishing touch I added some glitter glue and Glossy Accents to the leaves and pearls flanking each side of the image panel.
Be sure to stop by each of my fellow Rock Star's blogs and check out their Fresh and Fruity creations.

RI WIW Designer's Choice Challenge--Ring in the New Year
Hey there!
Well, it looks like we have made it through another year! My hopes and dreams are for a happy and healthy 2015 for all!
This week on The House That Stamps Built blog, Rock Star Cheri has challenged us to create a card/project with a "Ring in the New Year" theme.
While our New Year's celebration will be a pizza party with some great friends, I am sure there are a few who will be enjoying a beverage of some sort. I created my card using the Repeat Impressions Martini glass.
I stamped the Repeat Impressions Martini #9304-L in black ink and colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers. My "Cheers" sentiment is from the Wine Time collection. I used the RI Cheers #9505-F by masking off all but the "Cheers" on the stamp and then inking with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and removing the mask before I stamped.
I added some sequins as a finishing touch.
Be sure to check out each of the Rock Star's blogs this week and see all of their awesome creations.

Hey, hey, it is What If Wednesday :)
I love Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday's!
This week we have another fabulous sketch from Wendy (owner of RI). This sketch was a piece of cake to work with and you will be amazed at what each of the Repeat Rock Stars has created this week.
I followed the sketch just as it was and I love how this card turned out.
I have recently fallen back in love with my basic die cut shapes and love the simplicity of the scallops with the pretty RI Sunflower #4313-K. Each of the panels is adhered flat to the card. The added button and dew drops are the only dimension on this one. The sunflower is colored with several shades of golden yellow markers with a touch of brown for the center. A little Diamond glitter glue just to add some sparkle.
Here is the sketch for this week:
As always, I would love it if you stopped by each of the Rock Star's blogs and check out their amazing cards. Once you have visited their blogs, be sure to stop by The House That Stamps Built blog and check out the challenge, we love it when you play along! Wendy even gives out an awesome prize to one of our creative stamping friends!

Thinking of You
Hey there, it is Friday and I hope you all have lots of fun stuff planned for the weekend. It looks like the weather here in Central CA is going to be pretty nice.
Lately, I have been seeing stacked die cuts show up on the internet and I really like the effect and decided to give it a try myself.
My favorite color is green and I love lots of layers, so this card is right up my alley. I started with a top fold green card base and used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to add the green print panel to the base card. I set that aside and started on my focal panel. I knew I wanted to stencil the background, so I pulled out my Memory Box Chevron stencil and taped it down to a 5 x 7 piece of white cardstock (I like to use a larger piece than needed and cut it down, I think it is easier to get it nice and straight that way) next, I applied some Adirondack Lettuce ink from the top down to about the middle of the cardstock and then used Adirondack Meadow ink from the bottom up to about the middle allowing the inks to overlap and create a mid tone color in the middle of the panel. I cut down the chevron panel and adhered it to a green panel using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots and then added this panel to the base card using Tombow Foam Tabs. Now for the super fun part.....I die cut the Hero Arts Spring Branch die three times out of green cardstock and stacked them using Tombow Mono Multi and then added a little bit of the green inks to the edges for a finished look. I glued them down with a little more Mono Multi and then added a sentiment, some twine, a little glitter glue and a few pearls for a finishing touch.
If you have created something using the "stacked diecuts" technique, leave me a comment with a link, I would love to check out your creations.
Until next time.....happy stamping!
