RI WIW-Color Challenge

Happy, happy Wednesday!  It is Color Challenge week on The House That Stamps Built blog and Wendy has given us these fun, summery colors to work with:

Aren't those colors the BOMB DIGGITY?

Here is my creation:

I know it looks like I used orange cardstock for the layer behind the image panel, but it is yellow in real life.  I tried to fuss with it when editing and this is the best I could get without totally ruining the tones of the other colors.  Someone please give me a lesson in photo editing in Photoshop.....I would love ya forever!

I stamped the Repeat Impressions Sunny Quartet #8511-U with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and did some simple coloring with Copic markers.  I added some Aqua Stickles to the flowers on the sandals, but it sure is hard to see.  I told you I needed a photo editing lesson :)

I can't thank you enough for stopping by today and I would love it if you would check out my fellow Rock Star's blogs as well.

We would love to have you play along with the challenge as well, head on over to The House That Stamps Built for all of the details.  Wendy will be giving away an awesome prize to one lucky person who plays along :)

Don't forget, if you are itching to do a little shopping, you will find a 10% off discount code for Repeat Impressions in my right sidebar.  Don't forget to use it! You will be glad that you did!

RI WIW-Designer's Choice Challenge

Hi there!

This week on The House That Stamps Built blog is the Designer's Choice Challenge and it is my turn to pick the challenge.  I picked a "Fresh & Fruity" Theme.

Right now, I am loving fresh grown strawberries and chose to use one of my favorite Repeat Impressions stamps to create my card.

I stamped the Repeat Impressions Strawberries #515-L onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  Next, I cut the image panel and two coordinating panels with some Cross Stitch Oval Dies and popped up the image panel with foam tape.  The oval panels are added to some pretty print layers and for a finishing touch I added some glitter glue and Glossy Accents to the leaves and pearls flanking each side of the image panel.

Be sure to stop by each of my fellow Rock Star's blogs and check out their Fresh and Fruity creations.

RI-WIW Sketch Challenge

Good Wednesday morning friends!

It is no secret that I love sketch challenges and this week Wendy has given the Repeat Rock Star team another awesome sketch to work with.

Want to play along?  Head on over to The House That Stamps Built blog and join in on the fun.

I love the RI Hot Air Balloon Cluster #9116-N so I stamped it in black ink onto a white oval  panel and then a second time onto a scrap of white paper.  I colored the balloon images with Copic markers.  It is hard to see, but I also created clouds with the markers in the background of both the image and sentiment panels.  I cut out the second balloon and popped it up onto some Tombow Power Tabs

I stamped the RI Happy Hello #9717-C  in black ink onto an oval panel.  I layered both oval panels to red oval panels and popped them up.

Here is Wendy's awesome sketch:

Please be sure to stop by each of the Rock Star's blogs and check out their Sketch Challenge creations:

Repeat Impressions POTW-Stamping on Print Paper

Hi there!  This week it is my turn to share a Project of the Week with you on The House That Stamps Built blog so today I am sharing:

  Stamping on Print Paper

I love this technique for when I am in a hurry as it really moves the process along, especially when you are in a time crunch.

As always, start by gathering some supplies.  I decided to use images from the Contain Yourself and Bottom's Up collections so I gathered my stamps and supplies that I thought I might need/use.

I pulled my stamps, cardstock, ink, embellies and other items and got busy :)

I stamped the Happy Frog #9724-G in black ink onto some green/white dot paper and the Lemon #9611-H onto some yellow tone on tone dot paper and worked on my layouts for my cards.

Here is my frog card, I think he is adorable.  I added some shading with a Copic marker in the areas where Wendy (RI Illustrator) added some shadows on the image.  This is great because you know right where to add your shading making it easy peasy.  I fussy cut the frog and popped him up using foam tape onto the right side of an oval panel that I had stamped the Un-frog-gettable #9704-F sentiment on.  Next was all about assembly.  I added a few little die cut hearts for a finishing touch on this one.

For this card, I stamped the Lemon with black ink onto the print paper and fussy cut.  I added some shading just as I had on the frog card following Wendy's guidelines making this one just as easy as the first.  I added some die cut leaves out of the scrap from the frog card (great way to recycle) and stamped the When Life #9604-F onto another scrap of cardstock and die cut into an oval shape.  I added some color to the center of the oval with a Copic marker.

I would love to see what you do with stamping on print paper, come back here and leave a link in the comments so that I can check it out.

BLD Tuesday Valentine Peyton

Happy Tuesday to you all!  I am home today with a cold and hoping that it is gone soon as I leave on Saturday for CHA in Anaheim.  I am so hoping for some warmer weather in So Cal, cause it has been cold, cold here in the Central Valley.

Today I am sharing this adorable Bug and Roo Peyton Valentine image from By LORi Designs.

I printed the digi image onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it in with a variety of Copic markers.  The oval panels were cut with my Spellbinders Petite Oval/Scallop dies (I think this is my favorite die set ever).  The image panel and smaller red scallop piece are popped up with some Tombow Foam Tabs. For a finishing touch I added some bright red glitter to the heart.

You can check out the whole Valentine collection HERE or just click on the By LORi Designs banner above.

BLD Tuesday- Candy Cane Jane

Hi there!  Today I want to introduce you to an adorable new image from Lori Boyd of By LORi designs.  This little gal is Candy Cane Jane.  Isn't she cute?

I have been trying to gather all of my Christmas themed supplies and get them together in one spot in hopes that it will help make my holiday card creating go a lot faster. I think it is working as I have so many great goodies right at my finger tips now.

.
For this card, I used some fun print papers from the Trimcraft Modern Back to Basics 6 x 6 pad.  They are hard to find, I found mine at my favorite store.  I love that the colors are a little muted, but still on the bright side.  I colored Jane with a variety of Copic markers and then added some extra sparkle to her hair, candy cane and ear muffs.

Her is a close up of the sparkly stuff. I added some Gold Spica pen to her hair, Stardust pen to the band on her earmuffs, some sparkly fluff to her earmuffs, red glitter glue and pearl liquid pearls for the candy cane.

I used this weeks Deconstructed 78 sketch for the layout of my card.

You can find Jane along with the rest of the BLD Holiday bundle here.

Here is a sneaky peek at the rest of the bundle:

Be sure to head on over the the BLD Blog and check out what the rest of the team has to share with you.  You won't be disappointed!

BLD Tuesday Corn Flower

Hi there!  It's BLD Tuesday time again.   We are continuing to share some of our Fall favorites with you.  I love this image, she is called Little Corn Flower and you can find her  here in the By LORi Designs Digi Shop (you will need to scroll down a bit)

I decided to use some non traditional colors for my card this week.  I had this scrap of print cardstock with the pretty pinks/oranges/greens and browns and that was my starting point. I colored Little Corn Flower with Copic markers and a touch of Stardust Glitter pens in orange and pink. I shocked myself and didn't use buttons on this card. :)

Be sure to head on over to the By Lori Designs Digi Shop and check out the fab fall designs that the rest of the team have created.

together we can touch the sky

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

Today I am sharing another card that I created for the OCL Challenge #133 this week.  The challenge this week was to create any card/project using Our Craft Lounge Stamps.  We know that not everyone has OCL stamps (gasp).  We wanted you to be able to play along, so our amazing desinger, Debbie Corbari, created this FREE digi image called Love Floats that you can download, print and use to play along with the challenge this week. See, we have made it easy for you to play along!

You can download the FREE digi HERE.

Isn't this balloon adorable?  I printed the image on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock with my HP 6515 printer and it worked just fine.  I have had these fun dot prints in my stash for some time and thought they would be perfect for this fun balloon.  The sentiment is from the Our Craft Lounge Love is in the Air set.  This set is the perfect companion to the Love Floats digi.  OCL also has another set called Spilling Over that would work well with this image too!

Now, here is the BIG news:

hello TPE164

Good Morning!  We have had a busy few weeks with a mini kitchen remodel going on.  We are winding down and just have a few finishing touches and a tweak or two and then we are good to go.

The card I am sharing today uses an adorable Lollipop Watermelon Smile digi image from By LORi Designs.  This week on The Pink Elephant Challenge blog, they have asked that we use PRINT PAPER, easy peasy challenge for me as I love me some print paper!  These pretty prints are from My Mind's Eye.  The layout is a past sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch (Sketch 61), I turned it on its side and it worked perfectly for this card. A few tied buttons finish off this card and readies it for the mail.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Pick a Posy

Hi there!  Today I am sharing some of my favorite floral stamps from Our Craft Lounge.  I think flowers are wonderful because you can use them for any occasion.

I used Thankful Flourishes for this card.  I saw this layout while surfing the web a week or so ago and I just love it.  The flower was colored with Copic markers and the leaves were  watercolored with Tombow markers.  See our pens can play nice together.  :)

For this card I used the cute little flower border and birthday sentiment from Tweet Thang.  The flowers were colored with Copics.

This card is a recent favorite of mine.   I used stamps from the Pretty Petals and Big Birthday Wishes sets. I colored this card with my Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils and a wee bit of Gamsol.

For this last card, I didn't use a floral set, but I wanted to show you how nicely the Big Birthday Wishes set works when paired with a pretty flower.  Funny thing about this card is that I made it for our very own Debbie Corbari's birthday and it is still riding around in my car waiting to be mailed.  I am the worst when it comes to mailing things.  Heck, she may get it in time for her birthday next year.  :)

Thanks for visiting us today, I really appreciate each and every visit.
