Fa-BOO-lous Hop with Taylored Expressions and Tombow

Happy Wednesday and welcome to a Fa-BOO-lous hop with Tombow and Taylored Expressions.

You should have arrived at my blog from Shannon White's awesome blog, but if you didn't be sure to go back to Taylored Expressions  and start from the beginning.

I created both of my cards using the adorable Fa-Boo-lous set combined with fun print paper from Doodlebug Designs and awesome adhesives from Tombow.

For this card, I started with an embossed lime green base card and added some Doodlebug print paper flat to the card with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  I stamped this fun witch's legs image with black ink and colored it in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and popped it up with Tombow Foam Tabs.

This card started with a purple base card and then layers of orange and Doodlebug print paper.  Each of these layers are held flat on the base card with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  I stamped this fun row of legs/boots with black ink and colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and layered to an orange panel.  I popped up the orange panel with Tombow Foam Tabs.

Here is the hop line up if you should get lost along the way.  Be sure to comment on each of the blogs for a chance to win a fabulous prize pack.  See the details below.

Witchy Kitty

Happy Wednesday! Fall is definitely here.  The weatherman says we might have a little rain this afternoon.  We need the rain for sure, but the cold can stay away.

It is time for another Repeat Impressions Designers Choice Challenge on The House That Stamps Built blog and my fellow RI Rock Star. Geri has challenged us to create a Halloween card.  Being the newbie on the team, I did not have a Halloween stamp, so I had to put my thinking cap on for this one.

I used the Repeat Impressions, Peaceful Observation #2001-M to create my card.  This kitty is actually looking through a window at falling snow.  I put my thinking cap on and cut out the windows, added a starry background and witches hat that I had cut with my Silhouette and voila...I have a witchy kitty!

Be sure to stop by each Rock Star's blog today and check out their amazing creations.

Why don't you join us?  Challenge a friend - then link your card on Wendy's blog, The
House That Stamps Built and Wendy will have a random drawing and that person will win a great gift certificate from Repeat Impressions --- can't wait to see all your creations using the challenge this week.

Live, Laugh, Love

Hi there and happy, happy Friday to each and every one of you!

I hope all is well in your world, the weather has been beautiful here and I am looking forward to the weekend!

Today, I am sharing a card I created using the October Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew what I was going to do.  Everything except for the black card base was scraps that were left from previous stamping sessions.  I started by pulling out the Reverse Confetti Peacock Pretties set and stamping the feather image several times onto the light green cardstock.  Next, I spritzed the stamped panel with Edelweiss Moss Green Starburst Spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  You can't tell, but there is the prettiest shimmer to this card.  Because the spritz warped the cardstock a bit, I used Tombow Power Bond Adhesive to adhere the panel to the black card.  I embossed a purple panel and adhered it to a black panel using Tombow Power Bond as it is great to use when you are working with items with texture. I stamped the icons and sentiment with black ink onto some of the light green cardstock and cut it out with a circle punch and layered to a black and then purple circle using Tombow Mono Multi and then they were popped up using Tombow Foam Tabs.  Some Doodlebug pearls were added as a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to stop by tomorrow for the OWH WCMD Blog Hop.

BLD Sweet Pea

Hi Ya'll!

Happy mid week to each and everyone of you.  I was just looking in my blogger dashboard and found that this post from over a week ago never went live!  Egads!

So let me share this adorable card with you now.

This image is the super sweet image is Puddle Jumper Ella Three designed by the ever so talented Lori Boyd of By LORi Designs.  I colored the image in with Tombow Irojiten Color Pencils and OMS.  The pretty print paper is from Doodlebug.  I love it!

I hope your weekend is amazing!  See you back here on Monday when I will have two new posts to share.

{ho ho ho and merry christmas}

I have been working on some Christmas cards and decided to share them with you this week.  All month long the Tombow team is partnering with Art Institute Glitter so you will see a bit of sparkle on Santa. :)

Both of the image stamps are from Inky Antics and the sentiments are from Hero Arts.

For this card, I stamped Santa in Memento black ink and gave it a quick shot with my heat tool to set the ink a bit.  I colored Santa with Tombow Dual Brush Pens in #845 Carmine and #847 Crimson and added a little bit of #491 Glacier Blue around all of the white portions of the snowman and Santa's outfit.  #850 Flesh was used for his face and his boots are a combo of N65 Cool Gray 5 and N75 Cool Gray 3.  I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere the Doodlebug print cardstocks to the red card base.  I die cut Santa with Spellbinders Petite Classic and Scallop Oval dies and added him to the scallop oval base with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  To pop him up a bit, I added some Tombow Foam Tabs.  To add the Ultrafine Crystal glitter from Art Institute, I put down some Tombow Mono Aqua and then sprinkled the glitter over the top.  I shook off the excess and let the card sit for approximately 15 minute to let the glue dry.

This card was created using the same Tombow Dual Brush Pen colors with the addition of #195 Light Green for the ornament.  Again, I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere all of the flat layers and some Tombow Foam Tabs to pop the ornament and sentiment up onto the card.  The same process was used to apply the Ultrafine Crystal glitter to Santa's hat.  Be sure to let the Tombow Mono Aqua set for a few minutes as this will allow the glitter to set really well.
