RI WIW-Color Challenge Week
Happy Wednesday! Today on The House That Stamps Built blog, Wendy has given us a Color Challenge. I love color challenges!
This week the colors are:
I love RED, WHITE and BLUE!
Have you ever had one of those times when you had a card all figured out in your head and when it went to paper, it was an epic fail?
That is what happened to me this week. Finally after I fiddled around for a bit, I came up with this card:
I used a red and blue Tombow Dual Brush
pen to color in the Repeat Impressions USA #3702-G and stamped it several times using my stamp positioner.
I created the little sparklers from some foil wrapping paper (from my stash) and toothpicks.
I added a little twine and called it good!
Please be sure to head on over to each of my fellow Rock Star's blogs and check out their amazing creations using this color combo.
We would love to have you play along with the challenge as well, head on over to The House That Stamps Built for all of the details. Wendy will be giving away an awesome prize to one lucky person who plays along :)
Don't forget, if you are itching to do a little Repeat Impressions' shopping, you will find a 10% off discount code in my right sidebar. Don't forget to use it! You will be glad that you did!

RI WIW Designers Choice Challenge-Anything But A Card
It is What If Wednesday on The House That Stamps Built blog and this week and Rock Star Deonna has challenged us to created Anything but a Card.
One thing that I love to create at holiday time is little treat gifts. Any excuse to buy a bag of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares will work for me!
I die cut two small tags and scored each one 1/4" up from the bottom of the tag. I then adhered the two 1/4" pieces together to create the space for the chocolate square. I tied them closed with some ribbon and twine. These are quick and easy to put together. One tip I have is to stamp/color several images at once and then you will have them ready to go when you need to put a quick little gift together.
I used the following Repeat Impressions images:
Be sure to head on over to each of the Rock Star's blogs and check out their amazing "non card" projects:

RI WIW Sketch Challenge O1015
It's sketch challenge time at The House That Stamps Built blog and this week the sketch lead me to a very quick and easy card. Not a lot of fluff, but still a lot of fun!
I stamped the Repeat Impressions Candy Canes #903-K in red ink and colored the ribbon in with Spectrum Noir PP4 marker. Next, I tied a bow out of some narrow pink ribbon and added it to the canes. See, I told you it was simple this week. The crowning glory is adding some glitter to the canes, it just made them pop! I wonder why they don't make candy canes covered in chunky sugar....can you say overload?
Here is Wendy's awesome sketch:
Be sure to check out each of the Rock Star blogs this week to see their amazing creations.
Be sure to head on over to The House That Stamps Built blog and check out all of the details of our sketch challenge. We would love to have you play along. You could win some fun stamps if you do!

RI Project of the Week - Easter Treats
Hello stampers!
Happy Monday to all!
Today, I am sharing my Easter Treats project with you on.
For starters, I embossed some glassine bags with some decorative embossing folders and cut some scallop ovals and regular ovals to create some toppers from the bags.
Next, I gathered the following Repeat Impressions stamps: Beauty of Springtime 1304-J, Duckling 705-G and Grass Border 1507-J and started by stamping the grass in a light and medium green inks. Next, I stamped the sentiment with black ink to the left of the tag.
Isn't this duckling the cutest? I colored her with markers and then fussy cut each one out.
Finally, I added the duckling to the right of the tag and tied the tags on with some bakers twine.
What kind of treats are you creating for Easter?

Come hop with Tombow and Cabio
Hi there!
Happy Monday to you all. Has the cold/ice/snow reached where you are yet? It arrived a few days ago and I have to tell you, it is COLD!
This week the Tombow team is hopping with Cabio Tse.
You should have arrived at my blog from Debbie's blog, if not you can go back to the Tombow blog and start at the beginning.
I have created some easy Christmas gift pockets. These little pockets would be great for those "small" gifts that we all love.
I used papers/stickers from the Authentique Tradition line for each of my pockets.
These pockets measure 3" x 5" and are quick and easy to make. Cut your paper into a 5" x 6" piece and fold in half so that it measures 3" x 5". Apply Tombow Mono Multi down the right edge and bottom and hold for a count of 10. Now you have a pocket to decorate. See I told you it was quick and easy! I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere some of the paper from the Tradition 6 x 6 pad to the front of the pocket. Next I die cut a circle and scalloped circle that were just a bit bigger than the round decorative stickers from the Tradition Elements Sticker Sheet. Adhere the stickers to the circles using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots and then pop up onto the front of the pocket using Tombow Foam Tabs. Pockets were finished off with ribbon from May Arts and a button.
Recipe:
Cardstock: Traditions-Authentique
Stickers: Traditions Elements Sheet-Authentique
Adhesives: Mono Multi, Foam Tabs, Mono Adhesive Dots-Tombow
Extras: Ribbon-May Arts, Twine, Button
Here is the week’s Line-up, be sure to stop by each blog along the way and leave a comment for a chance to win the prize shown below.

GKD 4th of July Hop
This is my second post for the day, please scroll down to see my OWH/Tombow post.
Hi there and Happy 4th of July to you all!
Welcome to this special July 4 Gina K. Designs Hop! Some of the Design Team and the Center Stage Spotlight Team have some fun cards and projects to share with a patriotic theme and flair!!! And Gina has a special sale incentive too! Be sure to scroll down to check it out.
You should have arrived here from Tera's blog, but if you didn't be sure to go back to Gina's blog and start from the beginning. There are a ton of amazing projects to check out.
I chose to go with a red/white/blue theme for my card but create something that could be used anytime. I embossed the leaves from the GKD Stippled Nature set with white embossing powder onto some GKD PL Cherry Red cardstock and then layered it to some white layering cardstock and adhered both of those to a PL In the Navy cardbase using Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots. Next I stamped the flower from the same set with Memento Nautical Blue ink onto a white cardstock and layered it to an In the Navy piece. I popped this up with Tombow Foam Tabs. For a finishing touch I added a sentiment from the set and some rhinestones to each of the flowers.
Gina is offering a Star Spangled Special for those who want to do a little Independence Day shopping. The details are listed below.
Isn't that an awesome deal? Now I will send you on your way to Geri's awesome blog where she will share some amazing eye candy with you.

{ho ho ho and merry christmas}
I have been working on some Christmas cards and decided to share them with you this week. All month long the Tombow team is partnering with Art Institute Glitter so you will see a bit of sparkle on Santa. :)
Both of the image stamps are from Inky Antics and the sentiments are from Hero Arts.
For this card, I stamped Santa in Memento black ink and gave it a quick shot with my heat tool to set the ink a bit. I colored Santa with Tombow Dual Brush Pens in #845 Carmine and #847 Crimson and added a little bit of #491 Glacier Blue around all of the white portions of the snowman and Santa's outfit. #850 Flesh was used for his face and his boots are a combo of N65 Cool Gray 5 and N75 Cool Gray 3. I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere the Doodlebug print cardstocks to the red card base. I die cut Santa with Spellbinders Petite Classic and Scallop Oval dies and added him to the scallop oval base with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots. To pop him up a bit, I added some Tombow Foam Tabs. To add the Ultrafine Crystal glitter from Art Institute, I put down some Tombow Mono Aqua and then sprinkled the glitter over the top. I shook off the excess and let the card sit for approximately 15 minute to let the glue dry.
This card was created using the same Tombow Dual Brush Pen colors with the addition of #195 Light Green for the ornament. Again, I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere all of the flat layers and some Tombow Foam Tabs to pop the ornament and sentiment up onto the card. The same process was used to apply the Ultrafine Crystal glitter to Santa's hat. Be sure to let the Tombow Mono Aqua set for a few minutes as this will allow the glitter to set really well.

tin pin holiday fun
Happy Friday Y'all! What a crazy busy week this has been for me. I will be glad to see what next week has on the horizon for me.
Today I am sharing with you three fun cards that I created using some of the new Darcie's Tin Pins and coordinating stamp sets. Fun, fun, fun.
Let's start with Halloween...
For this card I stamped the bat image from Darcie's Spooktacular set and then colored him in with a Black (N00) Tombow Dual Brush Pen and then added some Gunmetal Stickles for a little bling. Now, this little guy wobbles back and forth using an Action Wobble. The wobbles are too big and in order to make it work, I had to cut it down to the size of the bat tin pin and then add some Tombow Mono Aqua to the top and then place the pin. The Mono Aqua dried quickly and was the perfect solution. All of the card layers are held together with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.
and continue into the Fall Harvest...
For this card, I stamped the Scarecrow from the Darcie's Harvest of Joy set and colored him in using the Irojiten Dictionary Color Pencils and some odorless mineral spirits. All of the layers were attached with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots except for the image panel where I used Tombow Foam Tabs for a little dimension. The tin pin and buttons were attached with Tombow Power Tabs. Did you know, that you can cut the Power Tabs easily with your scissors to make them fit any item. Love that!
Rounding out the holidays...
For my final card I stamped the snowman from Darcie's Merry and Bright set onto some white cardstock and colored in the gloves and scarf with Tombow Dual Brush Pens in Carmine (#845) and Chartreuse (#133) and attached the tin pin with a Tombow Power Tab. The image panel was popped up with Tombow Foam Tabs and the rest of the layering was done with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.
